Are the research tools free?
Yes. All five are free from HyperOrbit, and downloading one does not create a HyperOrbit account or start a trial. Each runs on an LLM API key you bring. Pain Point Finder uses Cohere, which has a free tier; Review Analyzer uses Anthropic, which bills per use, and a typical analysis costs a few cents.
Do I need a HyperOrbit account or an API key?
No HyperOrbit account. You do need an API key from the provider named on the card, because the extension sends the page text to that model to do the reading: Cohere for Pain Point Finder, Anthropic for Review Analyzer. Paste the key into the extension’s settings once.
Why is there a zip instead of a Chrome Web Store link?
Pain Point Finder and Review Analyzer have been submitted to Google and are in review. Until the listings are approved, the extensions install from a zip as an unpacked package. The store links are added here as soon as they are live.
Where does the page text go?
To the model provider named on the card, with your own key, to be analysed: Cohere for Pain Point Finder, Anthropic for Review Analyzer. Nothing is stored anywhere else; results are cached in your browser for the session. HyperOrbit does not receive the page text or your key.
Which browsers do they work in?
Google Chrome. Other Chromium browsers that allow loading unpacked extensions, such as Edge and Brave, generally work too, but Chrome is the one we test on.
When are the other three coming?
Competitor Analyzer, Customer Voice Analyzer and Feature Request Finder are in development. Use Notify me on the card and you get one email when each is ready.
How is this different from the agents?
The extensions read one page, on demand, for you. Chorus, Recon and Atlas read every connected source continuously, tie signals to accounts and revenue, and hand over a play. The extensions are a good way to learn what the agents look for.
