Growth Engineer Intern

Remote | Full-time

About the role

We're looking for a Growth Engineer Intern to help build the growth engine behind HyperOrbit.

You'll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, marketing, and sales—using code, AI, automation, and experimentation to identify and unlock new growth opportunities. You'll build tools, workflows, experiments, and systems that help us acquire users, improve activation, increase engagement, and scale outbound and product-led growth.

This is not a traditional marketing internship. You'll be expected to think like a builder: identify bottlenecks, ship experiments quickly, measure results, and double down on what works.

This role is ideal for someone who loves building with AI, experimenting with new tools, and figuring out creative ways to grow a product from zero to one.

What You'll Build

  • Build automated workflows for lead generation, enrichment, outreach, and follow-ups

  • Create AI-powered systems that identify, research, and prioritize high-potential prospects

  • Develop internal tools that automate repetitive growth and sales workflows

  • Connect multiple tools and data sources through APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms

  • Build systems that help the team experiment and scale successful growth motions

AI-Powered Growth Experiments

  • Build and test AI agents for prospecting, research, personalization, and outreach

  • Experiment with LLMs to automate content creation, lead qualification, and customer research

  • Create workflows that use AI to identify customer insights and growth opportunities

  • Test different prompts, models, and agent workflows to improve growth outcomes

  • Build lightweight prototypes to validate new AI-powered growth ideas quickly

Product-Led Growth

  • Analyze the user journey to identify friction and drop-off points

  • Create in-product growth loops and engagement mechanisms

  • Implement product analytics and event tracking

  • Build internal dashboards to monitor key growth metrics

  • Experiment with onboarding flows, messaging, and user experiences

Growth Data & Intelligence

  • Build systems to collect and organize data from customers, prospects, competitors, and the market

  • Create automated dashboards for tracking acquisition, activation, engagement, and conversion

  • Develop data enrichment workflows using APIs and AI

  • Build lightweight scraping and research tools where appropriate and compliant

  • Identify patterns and opportunities from growth and product data

Developer & Internal Tools

  • Build lightweight internal tools that help the growth, sales, and product teams move faster

  • Create dashboards, scripts, and automation workflows

  • Build integrations between CRM, marketing, analytics, and product tools

  • Rapidly prototype new ideas using modern AI coding tools

  • Improve internal processes through automation and intelligent workflows

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineering teams to identify growth opportunities

  • Build and test improvements to onboarding and activation

  • Experiment with messaging, workflows, and user experiences

  • Implement A/B tests and feature experiments

  • Gather insights from user behavior and feedback

  • Help turn successful experiments into permanent product features

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work directly with founders on high-priority growth initiatives

  • Collaborate with engineering to ship experiments quickly

  • Partner with sales on outbound and prospecting automation

  • Work with marketing on acquisition and content experiments

  • Collaborate with product teams to improve activation and retention

  • Share learnings and insights from experiments with the broader team
